Art allows me to look in a different way, in this case wistfully and with quiet happiness, looking back at the bygone times I long to return to: when I was allowed to stand on my father's shoulders on a beautiful beachday. At the same time, art allows me to build upon what has already been created through painting; so her I am, literally and figuratively standing on the shoulders of Giants!
