The whole family visiting Berkelstraat on Mother’s Day, May 1953. Old-fashioned coziness around the table, drinking and smoking. My grandma in the middle wearing a new dress with a trendy 1950s print. On the far left, my mother, 18 years old. Also present are her sisters Wil, Loes, Ans, and of course Uncle Floor, Gerard, and Grandpa. They must have had a good laugh!
