‘Write your own story’ This work revolves around transformation — the ongoing process of change made visible through the body, health and my inner self. I explore what it means to be in motion, to constantly seek balance between strength and fragility, between control and surrender. In my artistic practice, I search for ways in which fragility becomes tangible and reality remains porous. Each work is a snapshot within a larger process of change; a visual reflection of my ongoing search for equilibrium. By allowing material, body, and emotion to merge, I create a space where the personal becomes universal — where change is no longer something to be controlled, but something to be experienced.

Over IKe
Ik heb een opleiding vrije grafiek, textiele beeldende kunsten en textiel ontwerp voltooid in het deeltijds kunstonderwijs. Momenteel volg ik Projectatelier in Bilzen. Ondertussen ben ik al 30 jaar aan het onderzoeken welke kunstvorm het beste bij mij past en bij het verhaal dat ik op dat moment wil vertellen. Ik werk vooral met de materialen die aanwezig zijn in mijn atelier, dat kunnen stoffen, organische objecten, metaal, papier,…zijn. Deze materialen heb ik verzameld of gekregen. Voor mij is dit een manier om bestaande materialen opnieuw te gebruiken of te verwerken en een beperking of uitdaging om iets te creëren met dat wat voorhanden is.
