Elduende #6 (Home altar) - 2017 Sculpture/assemblage by Ingeborg Vriends Size: ± 75 x 60 x 20 cm. Representing a home altar for the Marassa twins from recycled wood, oil on canvas, metal, ceramic figures and embroidery. Collaborative project with Muz Delarte (woodworker). The Marassa twins are the devine children and African/Haitian spirits of love, thruth and justice. They represent the blessing and gift of children and connect earth with heaven, reason with mysterie, and human impotence with divine powers.
