I made this painting for the optician's window. The oil painting depicts a woman with glasses. in the lenses I painted a Dutch landscape with tulips and a windmill as a reflection. The blue in the painting matches the Delft blue in the shop window. This is one of the two paintings in the series

Over Mariëlle van Woudenberg
Mariëlle van Woudenberg is geboren in Nederland in 1960. Zij startte haar creatieve carrière als een auto didacticus en neemt wekelijks deel aan de cursus modeltekenen bij de Haagse Kunstkring. Vaak ontmoet ze andere artiesten in haar atelier wat zeer inspirerend werkt. Mariëlle is gefascineerd door het menselijk lichaam. Emoties zijn haar drive bijvoorbeeld in sport en de natuur. Kunstenaars waardoor zij zich graag laat inspireren zijn, Vincent van Gogh, Marc Chagal, Pieter Breugel de Oude.
